Commodity Watch: Renewed Spot Demand In Copper Futures
New Delhi: Copper futures on Tuesday rose 0.31 per cent to Rs 812.30 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for December delivery climbed Rs2.50 or 0.31 per cent to Rs812.30 per kg in a business turnover of 8,030 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
Aluminium futures fall on low demand
Aluminium prices slipped 30 paise to Rs242.35 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On MCX, aluminium for delivery in December fell 30 paise or 0.12 per cent to Rs242.35 per kg in 3,365 lots. Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
